Cost of osteopathy
Billing is based on the fee schedule for alternative practitioners (GebüH).
The costs are usually reimbursed by private health insurance companies, public service health benefits, and supplementary insurance for alternative medicine practitioner services.
Osteopathy is a private service.
Some statutory health insurance companies also contribute to the costs.
Reimbursement of costs – Important requirements
A refund is generally only possible if:

the treatment takes place in a practice that is a member of an osteopathic professional association

has completed osteopathic training with at least 1,350 hours

The osteopath must also be a naturopathic practitioner or a doctor, as only then is a diagnosis permitted.
Appointment cancellations
Appointments that are not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance via Doctolib or by telephone,
will be billed privately.
